Profound Pleasure

What is this profound pleasure?

This Schadenfreude

I don’t want to be happy for it

Yet it strikes a chord, I’ve waited for it

The payback, the karma the go around went

And now it’s back and I get to see how it feels on your face

It’s not mine anymore to feel this pain,

now for me it’s pleasure I feel to see you suffer this way

This profound pleasure

I’m not proud to feel this profound pleasure

not teasing like your kiss on my neck,

not warm like I love you in my ear,

It’s steely and it’s cold

but the pull of it hasn’t become old,

those days and months of feeling hurt,

your ill regard for all my worth

my world for you ceased to exist and now it makes me feel like this

perverse, reverse  a  love since past,

I see you hurt and I just laugh,

you can’t deny, you can’t run from the things you leave behind

This profound pleasure

I didn’t have to do a thing, what you deserve you will always find

Watching, waiting suffocating and then my sweet release

I taste your tears and drink them in… like wine at a feast

You see my hunger like an abandoned animal made me mean

There once was love but that felt her profound pleasure

I’ve seen you kiss her too many times as if you were never mine

But to see your world unravel so makes me happier than you know

This profound pleasure

This Schadenfreude

Watching it bring you to your knees,

ah yes I love it I love it I do

Seeing your heart grow cold springs mine anew

profound pleasure………..

I’m not proud to feel this profound pleasure

not teasing like a  kiss on my neck,

not warm like I love you in my ear,

It’s steely and it’s cold

But the pull of it hasn’t become old,

This profound pleasure
