Amanda Van Nuys...threats and lip service...

Tell the truth, get banned by Amanda Linden for being disruptive.

Where to start, before the Community Tools User Group/24-Mar-2011 meeting began I suppose, since it will never be posted in the minutes (along with anything Amanda considers disruptive).

The first thing out of Amanda Linden after she TP'ed in was to try to goad me in public, asserting her *coughs* authority by setting up her vindictive agenda to ban me from the meetings:

[2011/03/24 12:44]  Kung Fu Marketer (amanda.linden): hey all
[2011/03/24 12:45]  Kung Fu Marketer (amanda.linden): suspiria--i saw your blog post on me.
[2011/03/24 12:45]  Suspiria (suspiria.finucane): Am I allowed to speak or do I need to leave because all my comments were deleted?
[2011/03/24 12:45]  Kung Fu Marketer (amanda.linden): :)
[2011/03/24 12:45]  Kung Fu Marketer (amanda.linden): you're welcome to stay, unless you become disruptive--same goes for everyone. :)
(crashed when 5 people TP'ed in at once)
[2011/03/24 12:49]  Suspiria (suspiria.finucane): Is telling the truth disruptive now?
[2011/03/24 12:49]  Kung Fu Marketer (amanda.linden): suspiria..come on now.

How appropriate or pertinent is it for a community manager to discuss off-world blogs in an in-world setting? Shouldn't that be done in off-world? No Amanda, you don't scare me with your faux sense of superiority. If you want to ban me, just do it. Everyone knows it will stick no matter what you fabricate as a reason for it.

After the lip service (meeting) began, Amanda declared how she wasn't playing favorites, twice for good measure. Amanda also decided to threaten me again with ejection:

[2011/03/24 13:06]  Kung Fu Marketer (amanda.linden): usually has to do witht he actual content and how many resis have reported it as inappropriate.
[2011/03/24 13:06]  Suspiria (suspiria.finucane): Great tag team moderation
[2011/03/24 13:07]  Kung Fu Marketer (amanda.linden): thanks suspipria.
[2011/03/24 13:07]  Kung Fu Marketer (amanda.linden): that stuff is just disruptive and cannot go on.

Following up my blog post about the hit Squad, Amanda verified it by declaring the more people report a post, the more likely a warning will be issued, clearing the way for her hit squad to intimidate people. Basically they now have free reign to RIC anyone who disagrees with them at will, with Amanda giving the justification that sooooo many people RIC'ed a post, it has to be a violation and bans will be issued. (More on this topic in a later blog post)

No favoritism? Please, we weren't born yesterday. If Amanda wasn't playing favorites, why bring it up (twice) before anyone even mentioned it. How ignorant does Amanda believe Second Life users are?

Now the real lip service begins with Amada showing us who her favorite lackey is: Venus Petrov, go figure right? It's no wonder nothing Venus posts is a violation, Venus can insult naming people, and get away with it, by kissing Amanda's ass. If that's what it takes to be a favorite, count me out. I may get banned but I'll never be an ass-kisser.

[2011/03/24 13:08]  Kung Fu Marketer (amanda.linden): sure venus--go for it
[2011/03/24 13:08]  Kung Fu Marketer (amanda.linden): wassup? (how cute trying to be cool...)
[2011/03/24 13:08]  Venus Petrov: for goodwill sake would it be possible to forgive all but harassment and spam violations from the first week?
[2011/03/24 13:08]  Venus Petrov: it was a 'get used to it' week
[2011/03/24 13:08]  Venus Petrov: and many got profanity violations, for example
[2011/03/24 13:09]  Kung Fu Marketer (amanda.linden): hey, that's a good idea. yes, we can do that.
[2011/03/24 13:09]  Venus Petrov: great ty
[2011/03/24 13:09]  Lexie (lexie.linden): I like it (Ummm as if you would ever disagree)
[2011/03/24 13:09]  Suspiria (suspiria.finucane): Too late for that isn't it?
[2011/03/24 13:09]  Kung Fu Marketer (amanda.linden): i'll just let the mods know that they should disregard stuff from the first week.
[2011/03/24 13:09]  Kung Fu Marketer (amanda.linden): nope--we can make the decision right now and i just made it. ("Jawohl, mein Führer")
[2011/03/24 13:09]  Kung Fu Marketer (amanda.linden): :)

Hilarious isn't it? Tell me that wasn't staged! Anything Genn (a secret Linden btw, more on that later) Moderator's hit squad posted in the first week is now going to be "forgiven". How fortuitous for those people they won't be banned (not that they would be anyway) Now we've been warned. Anything said to Venus Petrov will be looked at as a violation due to her new protected status. Again, how ignorant does Amanda think the users of Second Life are? First she publishes that Venus came up with the idea of discussing moderation, then the first thing discussed is forgiving the hit squad. Spinning doesn't get any better than that.

All the disgusting profanity and vulgar posts (including purposefully showing female nipples by Storm Clarence) are going to be forgiven despite being against the CPG and the TOS.

My question is this, if they are "all" to be forgiven *coughs* are the bans issued as the results of those forgiven posts going to be rescinded and public apologies given? Yea, right, don't count on it.

I had to laugh at Amanda's choice for a display name hinting Ninja assassin. How appropriate.

After being threatened twice with ejection, it was obvious how Amanda planned to ban me.  Oh I almost forgot this little addition by Lexie after Amanda said my commentary was disruptive:

[2011/03/24 13:14]  Lexie (lexie.linden): yes I agree as well and have heard some of you mention fear of getting in trouble because you have these kinds of questions. Please ask them. Its ok.

Good cop, bad cop routine? I often wonder where these people got their marketing education. Did their parents smoke and they signed up on a matchbook cover? Clearly they think any positive spin sways people opinions when it doesn't at all. The majority of the people see right through it.

When are we ever going to get the truth from these community managers? They screwed up, they know it and refuse to admit they gave warnings and banned unfairly.

Amanda claims she read the email I sent her with the insults and she deemed  none were insults. Anything her favorites say could never be insulting. In fact she said this:

[2011/03/24 13:16]  Kung Fu Marketer (amanda.linden): suspiria--i didn't see abuse there--i did read it.
[2011/03/24 13:16]  Kung Fu Marketer (amanda.linden): sorry, i disagree.
[2011/03/24 13:16]  Suspiria (suspiria.finucane): When I reported the posts I got a mod letter threatening a ban
[2011/03/24 13:16]  Kung Fu Marketer (amanda.linden): yes, that's their job.

Hmmm, first Amanda says to RIC...

[2011/03/24 13:06]  Kung Fu Marketer (amanda.linden): usually has to do witht he actual content and how many resis have reported it as inappropriate.

....next Amanda says if you do RIC, a mod's job is to send a threatening letter for sending RIC's. Which is it Amanda? Why is it some people can RIC endlessly without any warning but others get threatening letters? Can anyone say favoritism? It's pretty clear now that Amanda has her favorites and will lie though the nose to protect her lackeys.

More on Amanda's new lackey:

[2011/03/24 13:25]  Venus Petrov: i am asking for one for residents please
[2011/03/24 13:25]  Kung Fu Marketer (amanda.linden): let us pow-wow on that one k, venus?

Pow-wow? A secret meeting with a resident to discuss moderation policy? Amanda is really pushing it by playing favorites.

I'll have about 5 blog posts on the meeting in the coming days so I'll cut this one short. I will mention that Genn Moderator has been threatening to release customers personal information to further harass them. Read the full uncensored transcript here.

One last thing Amanda had to silence me on. Racism and cultural discrimination.

[2011/03/24 13:19]  Suspiria (suspiria.finucane): But they can make fun of my Russian heritage and to you it isn't worthy of a warning
[2011/03/24 13:19]  Kung Fu Marketer (amanda.linden): ok, susupira. that flag.
[2011/03/24 13:19]  Kung Fu Marketer (amanda.linden): let's take that offline. k?
[2011/03/24 13:19]  Kung Fu Marketer (amanda.linden): don't need to discus in large group

How odd that it's considered disruptive and not appropriate to discuss racial discrimination in public. Have you ever heard of such a thing? I know I haven't and I thought the world was civilized. Could it be Amanda didn't want her lackey's exposed for the racial discriminators they are? Personally, I'm disgusted with her behavior in this, the 21st century.

Amanda sickens me with her egotistical approach to beat down anyone who doesn't follow her goose-stepping goons. We better all learn how to salute the new dictator. I'm not a Neville Chamberlain fan and will never bow to oppressive regimes. Don't be fooled by the brown shirt/nose intolerants giving Amanda Sieg Heils...

When I first posted this video, I considered it a parody, now it's becoming frighteningly real. I guess it's a week off from the forums for speaking up in an in-world meeting. That's what Amanda considers power... demean and harass customers to lose market shares for the company.
